Duties
Spearhead complex litigation matters—from initial strategy meetings through trial—in areas including commercial disputes, securities enforcement, employment discrimination, and internal investigations
Perform thorough factual investigation and legal analysis; draft persuasive motions, briefs, and correspondence
Oversee discovery phases: document review, deposition preparation, and evidentiary hearing support
Collaborate with senior counsel on white-collar defense and internal inquiry engagements
Champion public interest clients in causes like gender and racial equity, LGBTQ+ rights, religious freedom, democracy protection, and immigrants’ rights
Guide junior associates and coordinate with business operations for seamless matter management
Requirements
Litigation or public interest experience at a law firm, federal clerkship, or advocacy organization
Excellent academic credentials and strong professional endorsements or clerkship history
Ability to juggle multiple high-stakes matters with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by start date
Passion for fusing commercial litigation excellence with meaningful public interest work
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications
Active membership in good standing of the New York State Bar (or eligibility to waive upon hire)
