Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Chicago, IL, is seeking a seasoned and results-driven Litigation Attorney with a focus on personal injury matters. This opportunity involves direct client interaction, full case management through trial, and the ability to significantly impact outcomes for injured individuals. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation experience, including trial exposure, and demonstrate compassion, legal acumen, and tenacity in advocating for clients.

Duties:

• Represent injured clients in personal injury litigation, managing cases from intake to resolution

• Conduct client meetings with empathy, professionalism, and strategic insight

• Maintain regular communication with clients and opposing parties, including insurers

• Draft and negotiate legal documents such as demands, pleadings, and settlement agreements

• Prepare cases for trial and serve as first-chair when needed

• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations

• Coordinate with medical experts and investigators to support case development

• Provide litigation support and collaborate closely with paralegals and legal staff

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of civil litigation experience, preferably within personal injury

• First-chair trial experience required

• Licensed to practice and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar

• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload

• Demonstrated experience evaluating and developing personal injury claims

• High level of professionalism, initiative, and accountability

• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are considered a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Illinois Bar admission required
