Duties:

• Represent clients in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and briefs

• Handle court appearances, depositions, discovery, and pre-trial procedures

• Advise clients on case strategy, potential outcomes, and legal risks

• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution

• Collaborate with legal teams across departments when needed

• Maintain and grow client relationships through exceptional service delivery

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial litigation

• Active license to practice law in Ohio or eligible for reciprocity

• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently

• Proven experience handling a broad range of litigation matters such as business disputes, insurance defense, employment issues, or creditors’ rights

• Existing book of business of at least $200K

• Ability to take initiative while working collaboratively within a team-oriented culture

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build client trust

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Ohio Bar

• A license to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky is preferred

Skills:

• Strong legal writing, analysis, and oral advocacy skills

• Excellent time management and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines

• Adept at client communications and business development
