Deputy General Counsel
Duties: Global Labor, Employment & Compliance: Act as a primary point of contact for the People team and other internal clients with respect to talent-related matters on a global basis, and specifically. Establish trusted advisor relationships, partnering closely with the People team and other related teams including Staffing and Talent-Acquisition teams. Provide the People team with strategic legal counsel in managing sensitive and complex employment and labor-related matters. Lead investigations of employee misconduct and recommend and assist in the implementation of appropriate courses of action. Review and draft employment policies and other employment-related documents, including employment agreements, separation agreements, consulting agreements, offer letters, and confidentiality agreements. Handle legal aspects relating to total compensation and benefits. Partner with the People team to ensure compliance with and address issues relating to employment policies and other legal and regulatory requirements. Provide oversight for customer and vendor onboarding, including with respect to due diligence and screening. Source and conduct compliance training for employees in core areas, including anti-corruption, anti-harassment, conflicts of interest, and ethics matters. Monitor and report on the latest employment law trends and other regulatory developments and assist in providing updates to relevant policies as well as guidance and training to the People team. Manage all matters relating to litigation, administrative proceedings, and other disputes, including drafting and reviewing correspondence, filings, and settlement agreements. Manage the company’s insurance and risk program. Support and mentor the Global Mobility Lead with respect to all aspects of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s global mobility program, and specifically. Handle employee, company and client-driven relocations. Establish and operate systems to track and collect data with respect to open visa cases to inform global strategy and ensure deadlines are timely met. Establish policies and programs with respect to global mobility with a view towards strategically leveraging global mobility to attract and retain talent and enhance client relationships. Support the CLO in DE&I and sustainability efforts, and specifically: Develop and execute against corporate DE&I and sustainability vision and goals by helping to drive initiatives that further those goals. Assist in the management of ESG data collection and reporting. Communicate results and insights from data collection and reporting. Apply data insights to the refinement of ESG strategies, programs, and initiatives. Remain up to date on ESG trends and best practices and distill this learning into actionable improvements to the company’s ESG programs and initiatives. Work cross-departmentally to leverage resources and inspire action. Assist CLO with various legal matters and perform other tasks as assigned from time to time.
