The candidate will conduct correspondence and draft legal pleadings, briefs, and motions needed for clients’ insurance law proceedings. Appear in court on behalf of insurance clients during legal proceedings to argue motions. Counsel clients by assessing insurance law options for first-party action and determining the most informed course of action for a successful outcome. Analyze insurance client needs to identify options and propose solutions. Advise clients accordingly. Conduct legal research, audit for coverage issues, and draft legal documents to develop and implement winning strategies for cases. Create quality legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence for use in court proceedings. Appear in court on behalf of insurance clients during legal proceedings to argue motions. Effectively manage the demands of a heavy caseload without the need for supervision. Definitive decision-making, strong public speaking, and strong interpersonal communications skills are vital. Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience representing clients for a minimum of two years. Must have a current, active Florida Bar License. We will not consider applicants with pending results or bar exams scheduled in the future. Experience using legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis required. Definitive decision-making, strong public speaking, and strong interpersonal communications skills are vital. The ability to work independently and meet all required needs of a busy caseload is crucial.
