The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle a busy caseload and provide compassionate legal services to clients navigating challenging family matters. The role requires a self-driven attorney who is adept at managing litigation and trial proceedings with a focus on family law.

Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, and child support cases.
  • Independently represent clients in court and negotiations, demonstrating strong litigation skills.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal documents, motions, and briefs.
  • Maintain excellent client communication, offering support and guidance throughout legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently.
  • Participate in case strategy development and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve legal disputes in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience handling family law cases with a strong focus on litigation.
  • Proficient in legal research using tools like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Ability to draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a keen ability to resolve disputes.
  • Demonstrated empathy and patience in client interactions, particularly with sensitive family matters.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail and quality of service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar membership in Tennessee or eligibility to be admitted to the Tennessee Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to client needs.
