Duties

• Conduct life and legacy planning sessions and estate planning consultations.
• Analyze client circumstances to recommend planning strategies.
• Design customized estate plans, including wills and trusts.
• Collaborate with the drafting team to ensure accurate implementation.
• Maintain exceptional client communication throughout the process.
• Supervise and mentor legal assistants and paralegals.
• Collaborate with the probate team on planning strategies.
• Utilize technology to enhance client experience.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve client service and professional knowledge.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• Minimum three years of estate planning experience.
• Experience with elder law planning.
• Strong knowledge of New York estate planning law.
• Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain English.
• Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning.
• Comfortable using technology and quickly learning new software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• New York State Bar License.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Calendar, Zoho CRM, WealthCounsel, and other cloud-based legal technology platforms.
