Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Use Project Management skills to actively lead and drive tech package generation. Work closely with Asia counterparts, pattern engineering, design, and marketing, to help facilitate the tech package process. Clearly and concisely document the project process from origination through completion
Effectively communicates with Asia Liaison development, factory personnel, marketing, design, pricing and production. Understand footwear manufacturing process and use this knowledge to better execute design concepts into production
Responsible for all aspects of projects in footwear systems.
Drives the development of prototype product with the Asia development team
Serves as coordinator between marketing, design and outside contractors during development process, monitoring progress through to finalization; act as point person for all development related communication.
Manages the fit and wear process with test managers, design and Asia to make appropriate changes to the projects as needed. Establishes and maintains performance guidelines for the categories managed insuring product integrity for the Under Armour brand.
Maintains an open line of communication with production, marketing and sourcing, to resolve performance and construction issues. Tracks and understands production issues for future planning
Drives costing and margin initiatives and coordinates these efficiencies with the sourcing and marketing groups
Works with Product Line Manager (PLM) to determine sales sample needs and imputes development needs to production for (SMS) order processing. Expedites & monitors sales sample progress and alert appropriate parties of delays when problems arise
Understands the product concept and be capable of presenting product features when necessary
Understand product and brand vision
Drives development timelines while assisting in latest development project
Responsible for creating seasonal calendars and communicating timelines to Asia. Maintains accountability for on time -Prototype, -Sales sample and -Production commercialization based on seasonal calendars
Communicate defective returns and consumer feedback to product team members in Asia and HQ as well as manufacturing partners
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Ability to manage multiple projects within overlapping seasons, and with a variety of time horizons.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of footwear constructions, stitching, and assembly, material construction and properties, costing, pattern making, mold engineering and bottom materials, lasts, embroidery, screen printing, welding and other footwear manufacturing
Education And / Or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (in Footwear/Textile Design, Technology, Merchandising, Engineering, Industrial/ Mechanical/or Chemical Engineering or a related field preferred)
8-10 years of experience

3 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
