Job Overview:
A well-established, AV-rated law firm is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Associate to join its litigation team in Panama City, Florida. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners on complex matters while also managing an independent caseload. The position involves a full spectrum of litigation tasks and is ideal for attorneys with at least two years of experience in commercial, business, or real estate litigation.

Location:

• Panama City, Florida

Duties:

• Manage individual caseload with support and collaboration from senior attorneys

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Conduct legal research and analysis

• Manage written and oral discovery processes

• Attend and conduct depositions

• Participate in hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings

• Collaborate with partners on strategy and case development

• Prepare clients and witnesses for litigation events

• Maintain accurate case documentation and meet critical deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in:

  • Commercial litigation

  • Contract disputes

  • Real estate litigation

  • Other business-related legal matters

• Strong case management and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment

• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality legal work

• Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida

• In good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

• Legal writing and verbal communication

• Analytical thinking and problem solving

• Knowledge of Florida civil procedure and litigation practices

• Strong research and drafting skills

• Courtroom presence and oral advocacy
