Duties:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation and employer liability cases across Maryland

• Draft legal pleadings, discovery documents, and motions

• Attend hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations

• Maintain a high-volume caseload with minimal oversight

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients

• Collaborate closely with legal teams to ensure cohesive case management

• Effectively manage court deadlines and internal timelines

• Demonstrate proactive client communication and relationship management

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Maryland

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense, insurance litigation, or personal injury law

• Familiarity with employer liability claims procedures and standards

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and case files simultaneously

• Proven legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational proficiency

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to Maryland Bar (required)

• Admission to DC, PA, or DE Bars (preferred)

Skills:

• Deep knowledge of Maryland workers’ compensation laws and regulations

• Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude

• Technologically proficient, especially in paperless legal environments

• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a team
