Duties

• Lead all phases of civil litigation, including strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial.
• Serve as lead or co-counsel in jury and bench trials involving product liability and related defense matters.
• Develop litigation strategies aligned with client goals and risk tolerance.
• Supervise and mentor associates, paralegals, and support staff on case teams.
• Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and proactive case management.
• Stay current on developments in California and federal law impacting automakers and product liability defense.

Requirements

• 8+ years of litigation experience, with substantial first-chair or second-chair trial experience in civil cases.
• Background in defending automakers, manufacturers, or corporate clients strongly preferred.
• Experience in both California state and federal courts required.
• Superior oral advocacy, legal writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.
