A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with the support of an experienced team and dedicated staff. This full-time position is based at the firm's downtown Chicago headquarters.

Duties

• Represent clients in divorce, parental responsibilities, and property division matters.
• Handle cases from consultation through settlement or trial, including complex litigation.
• Appear in Cook County and surrounding areas for hearings and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and agreements.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and participate in mediation.
• Collaborate with attorneys and financial professionals for optimal client outcomes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Illinois and in good standing.
• 3+ years of family law experience with courtroom exposure.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Judgment to settle or try cases based on client interests.
• Compassion for clients in challenging situations.
• Preference for in-person work alongside the team.
• For Partner role: proven case results, leadership, and business development.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
