A reputable mid-sized law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its defense litigation team. Location

• Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Duties

• Assist in defending cases involving insurance defense, toxic torts, product liability, and general liability

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and client communications

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and client meetings

• Manage case files, meet deadlines, and coordinate with supervising attorneys

• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

Requirements

• Interest in litigation and trial advocacy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications and legal research tools

• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a legal team

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar (required)

• Admission to the West Virginia Bar is a plus

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Detail-oriented with effective case management abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other office applications
