A law firm seeks a litigation attorney in New Orleans, LA, to join its Offshore Energy and Marine Litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for those with prior experience in offshore maritime matters. Duties

• Independently manage a caseload from beginning to end.
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
• Lead client communication and provide meaningful updates.
• Handle civil litigation cases, including maritime disputes and personal injury claims.
• Advise clients on complex maritime and energy-related legal matters.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings, advocating for their interests.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in offshore maritime matters is highly desired.
• Ability to interact directly with clients and develop relationships.
• Track record of high achievement in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
