A well-established regional law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice Group in Uniondale, NY. This position is ideal for an experienced attorney with 7–10 years of insurance coverage experience who is ready to take on significant responsibility in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will handle complex matters, provide detailed policy analysis, and represent insurers in a range of coverage-related disputes.

Location:

• Uniondale, New York

Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies and provide detailed coverage opinions

• Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation in both state and federal court

• Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Conduct legal research on a variety of complex coverage issues

• Attend hearings, mediations, and court conferences

• Advise insurers on matters involving general liability, professional liability, property, and other policy types

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop litigation and resolution strategies

Requirements:

• 7–10 years of experience in insurance coverage law

• Proven ability to independently manage complex insurance coverage cases

• Excellent legal research and analytical skills

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

• Experience with litigation in both trial and appellate courts is preferred

• Admission to practice in New York (required)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the New York State Bar

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of various insurance policy forms and coverage principles

• Exceptional legal drafting and case analysis skills

• Strong time management and organizational abilities

• Capable of managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision

• Effective communicator with both clients and colleagues
