Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Associate for its Charleston, SC office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate law and a proven track record in handling diverse real estate transactions and legal matters.

Duties

• Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
• Handle common and preferred equity investments and leases.
• Advise on development, zoning matters, and corporate governance.
• Provide legal counsel to developers and investors.
• Negotiate and draft agreements for real estate transactions.
• Represent clients in zoning appeals and property tax assessments.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in commercial real estate law.
• Strong expertise in real estate finance, zoning, and land use.
• Experience with joint ventures and representing developers and lenders preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Eligibility for admission to the South Carolina Bar preferred.

• Ability to independently manage and close complex transactions.
