Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its nationally integrated Real Estate and Land Use practice group. Based in Phoenix, this opportunity is ideal for a candidate with 1 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced attorneys representing a diverse client base, including REITs, institutional and private equity investors, developers, healthcare systems, renewable energy companies, and franchise enterprises. This role emphasizes training, mentorship, and long-term professional development within a collaborative environment.
Location:
Phoenix, Arizona
Duties:
Draft and negotiate documents for various commercial real estate transactions
Handle matters related to development, acquisitions, dispositions, and commercial leasing
Assist with real estate secured lending transactions and workout agreements
Conduct legal due diligence and manage transactional closings
Coordinate with clients, title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel
Support senior attorneys in complex projects and strategic deal structuring
Stay updated on local and national real estate laws and market trends
Requirements:
1 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law
Prior experience drafting and negotiating transactional real estate documents
Familiarity with real estate finance, leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions
Experience handling closing processes and related due diligence
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to practice law in Arizona, or ability to become admitted within a reasonable timeframe
Skills:
Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills
