A law firm seeks a Trademark, Copyright, and Media Attorney for its Atlanta, GA office, with a preference for candidates in Washington, DC, Chicago, or San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience advising clients on advertising, marketing, trademark, copyright, and commercial transactions.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and intellectual property agreements.
• Advise clients on trademark, copyright, and advertising issues.
• Conduct trademark and copyright clearance analyses and provide risk assessments.
• Counsel clients on intellectual property protection, use, registration, and enforcement.
• Review marketing and advertising materials for compliance issues.
• Support transactions involving intellectual property assets.
• Collaborate with attorneys on complex transactions and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in transactional trademark, copyright, advertising, marketing, and commercial counseling.
• Experience representing consumer products, retail, technology, media, entertainment, or advertising clients preferred.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with marketing, legal, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction of the office to which the candidate is applying.

Skills

• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Experience with trademark and copyright counseling.
• Knowledge of advertising and marketing law compliance.
• Experience with brand licensing and merchandising matters.
• Familiarity with sponsorship, influencer, and promotional campaigns.
