A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Chattanooga, TN office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general liability, coverage, and transportation matters. Duties:

• Handle general liability, insurance coverage, and transportation-related legal matters.
• Manage a diverse caseload, including discovery, pleadings, and motion preparation.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure the effective and timely resolution of cases.
• Prepare for and represent clients in trials, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Maintain organized case files and provide regular updates to clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Strong ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience managing discovery, drafting pleadings, and preparing motions.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Tennessee and good standing with the Tennessee State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in general liability, insurance coverage, and transportation law.
• Experience in jury trials is preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and colleague interactions.
