Job Details:
This position is responsible for managing complex labor and employment law matters that affect the company and advising in-house business clients. Candidates must be skilled at minimizing and retiring employment and labor law risk in a strategic, yet cost-effective manner. Candidates should possess a high level of proficiency in one or more of the following subjects: complex employment law advice and counsel, traditional labor law, international employment law, or employment litigation. Candidates should be familiar with standard legal concepts, practices, and procedures.
Candidates must be able to work collaboratively with other legal team members and Tyson’s Human Resources team. This position will counsel members of senior management and the candidate must exhibit the executive presence, forward thinking, competence, and professionalism needed to earn the trust of members of the company’s senior management team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Law degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
Experience: 7 plus years of legal experience required. Candidate must have significant experience in one or more of the following areas: employment law advice and counsel, traditional labor law, international employment law, or employment litigation. The position level will be based on experience.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.
Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: A team player who can effectively communicate with and respond to clients in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently with outside counsel. Must exercise good judgment in the performance of all tasks.
Supervisory: Manage outside counsel and possible project supervision of other in-house attorneys, paralegals, or administrative assistants.
Travel: Some travel may be required.
There are multiple positions available in this department. This role will be based out of Tyson's World Headquarters in Springdale, AR
