Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney for its Melville, NY office. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in foreclosure litigation and be a member in good standing of the New York Bar. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on mortgage lenders, banks, and financial institutions.

Duties

• Manage and prioritize a large caseload.
• Draft and review pleadings for compliance with laws and regulations.
• Attend hearings and status conferences.
• Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
• Provide creative solutions to complex problems to mitigate client risk.

Requirements

• Five years of foreclosure litigation experience.
• Member in good standing of the New York Bar.
• Experience with title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and/or mortgage banking preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctorate.

Certifications

• Valid Bar license in New York.

• Strong case management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent drafting and legal research abilities.
