Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for advocating on behalf of injured workers. This role involves handling a high-volume caseload, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in workers' compensation hearings.

Duties:
Manage a caseload of 100+ workers' compensation cases effectively and efficiently.
Negotiate and resolve workers' compensation cases promptly and for top-dollar settlements.
Advise clients on legal options and develop strategies for successful case outcomes.
Communicate effectively with clients throughout the legal process.
Work with case managers to confirm coverage via e-case or WCC Verify Coverage.
Draft, review, and submit necessary workers' compensation forms to the Commission and other parties.
Represent clients at hearings scheduled by the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission (SCWCC).
Conduct thorough case investigations, including gathering witness statements and obtaining surveillance video.
Coordinate with case managers and clients to ensure attendance at all scheduled medical appointments.
Arrange Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) when necessary.
Requirements:
3-10 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law (Plaintiff or Defense).
Demonstrated experience trying multiple cases before the Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Ability to manage an independent caseload of 100-125 cases.
Strong leadership skills to guide support staff effectively.
Exceptional client communication skills.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a large caseload efficiently.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
