Indirect Tax Senior Manager
The candidate will serve as Indirect Tax team leader, overseeing indirect tax compliance service offerings including sales & use tax, property tax, and unclaimed property reporting. Fluent in common service offerings including sales & use tax registrations and compliance, property tax reporting, taxability decision matrix, voluntary disclosures, tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, drafting client correspondence, nexus studies, refund recovery studies, and assisting clients with handling state sales tax audits. Demonstrate an understanding of complex tax and accounting concepts and effectively apply work experience and technical expertise to client situations. Serve as a thought leader in the firm SALT practice and keep abreast of new and changing developments that impact clients in the area of SALT. Participate in staff recruiting and supervise, mentor and develop staff level team members. Play a key role in new business generation and continued development of the client base within the firm industry groups by identifying client needs and service offerings. Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis. Develop and implement process improvements. Should have Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA, JD, CMI or Enrolled Agent is preferred. Should have 7+ years of progressive tax consulting experience in SALT. Should have 3+ years of property tax compliance experience with accounting/consulting firm or in corporate property tax position with supervisory experience. PTMS experience is preferred.
