A distinguished law firm is seeking a junior-level associate to join its Antitrust & Competition practice. Ideal candidates will have experience navigating second request investigations or merger litigation and an interest in expanding their expertise in matters involving federal enforcement agencies.

Duties

• Assist in handling antitrust investigations by the FTC and DOJ

• Support litigation involving regulatory challenges to mergers and acquisitions

• Provide counsel during second request processes and pre-merger notification procedures

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy development in complex merger control matters

• Participate in regulatory risk assessments and client advisories

• Draft legal memoranda, court filings, and agency submissions

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience in antitrust law, preferably involving second requests or merger litigation

• Familiarity with federal regulatory agencies, including the FTC and DOJ

• Ability to manage tasks across a variety of antitrust and competition matters

• Prior government experience (FTC/DOJ) is a plus but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Active membership in a state bar or eligibility for prompt admission in Massachusetts
