Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a range of civil and commercial matters in state and federal courts.
  • Handle complex business litigation, with a focus on the real estate, construction, technology, and financial services industries.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare complex legal analysis.
  • Manage case preparation and assist in strategy development.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with senior associates and shareholders to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Junior attorney with prior experience in commercial litigation, particularly in state and federal courts.
  • Familiarity with the pace and expectations of a sophisticated law firm, preferably with AmLaw 200 experience.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to provide a writing sample that demonstrates proficiency in legal analysis and drafting.
  • Top third law school class standing preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Law school transcript required (preferably from the top third of the class).

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas, or eligible for licensure.

Skills:

  • Proficient in commercial litigation, with experience in business disputes.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and matter management capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
