Training and Development Assistant
The candidate will work closely with the Senior Manager of Staff Training and Development, Staff Training Analyst and other professionals in the Human Resources department to implement the staff training curriculum. Coordinate with HR teams in all the global offices to implement the staff training curriculum which includes but is not limited to scheduling rooms, ordering and shipping training materials, setting up and breaking down the training room and tracking participants via the Learning Management System (LMS). Schedule and attend planning meetings and conference calls between Staff Training and Development, HR in the local offices, other internal colleagues such as Lawyer Training or Technology Training and vendors. Proofread training materials such as the Participant Guides, PowerPoint presentations and Helpful Hints. Assist with writing and editing of training communications. Compile email distribution lists to send training communications on behalf of Staff Training and Development. Collaborate with invested parties to create and update Firm wide training communications. Proofread all work with attention to detail and accuracy and make all necessary changes. Manage specific eLearning programs for new supervisors, including scheduling follow-up sessions for participants following completion of various programs. Maintain and update staff training files, records and reports when using the LMS and PeopleSoft. Work closely with the HRIS and the Technology Training team to manage and track staff training programs and participants. Attend staff training programs to monitor program setup, attendance and quality of training materials. Maintain the Manager's Toolkit, the Staff Training and Development email account and Staff Training and Development team calendar. Create evaluation summaries after each training program and assist in other metric development and reporting activities. Assist with writing of Staff Training updates and communications for internal HR monthly newsletter and quarterly manager newsletter. Research new trends or best practices within the Learning and Development field. Demonstrate initiative by providing recommendations and feedback to processes and procedures. Manage projects as assigned. Participate in team meetings and perform other substantive and administrative duties.
