Job Overview:
A well-established insurance defense law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience to join its Warranty Department. This role focuses on representing automotive manufacturers in warranty and lemon law matters under California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. The position is remote and offers a dynamic, collaborative work environment, with strong mentorship and opportunities to advance trial skills.

Location:

• San Francisco, CA

Duties:

• Represent automotive manufacturers in warranty-related litigation, including lemon law disputes

• Handle all aspects of civil litigation from case intake to resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

• Manage multiple cases with strict deadlines and detailed documentation

• Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to develop litigation strategies

• Attend virtual or in-person hearings, mediations, and potentially trials

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience

• Familiarity with California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (Lemon Law) preferred

• Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize casework

• Proven judgment and problem-solving abilities

• Experience in client communications and case strategy development

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
