Job Overview:
A law firm in Charleston, SC, is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience, particularly in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various aspects of litigation practice, including depositions, discovery management, legal research and briefing, oral argument and hearing attendance, negotiation, and client communication.

Duties:

• Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Participating in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, trial, and post-trial motions.
• Attending depositions, hearings, and other court proceedings.
• Negotiating settlements and drafting settlement agreements.
• Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
• Managing case files and maintaining accurate records of case developments and correspondence.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the South Carolina Bar.
• Completion of Rule 403 Trial Requirements.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the South Carolina Bar.
• Completion of Rule 403 Trial Requirements.
