Location:

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various criminal law topics.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and plea negotiations.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions and witness interviews.
  • Advise and guide clients through all stages of their cases.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Assist with legal administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of criminal defense experience in Arizona.
  • Demonstrated experience in client management and direct client interaction.
  • Strong litigation skills, including the ability to effectively argue motions and trials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in legal proceedings.
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to ethical and professional conduct at the highest level.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Arizona State Bar or willingness to become licensed.

Skills:

  • Strong legal drafting and writing abilities.
  • Excellent oral communication and advocacy skills.
  • Proficient in conducting legal research and case analysis.
