Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Private Client International Trusts & Estates Planning Associate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in international estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and companies. The ideal candidate will have experience in cross-border tax planning and advising U.S. and non-U.S. taxpayers on wealth management structures accommodating multi-jurisdictional tax and legal considerations.

Duties

  • Advise on international estate planning for high-net-worth clients.
  • Develop wealth management structures for multi-jurisdictional tax considerations.
  • Assist with foreign trusts and pre-immigration planning.
  • Plan for U.S. property purchases by non-U.S. persons.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and reporting obligations for overseas interests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in international estate planning.
  • Strong technical, professional, and client service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently.
  • Member in good standing in the jurisdiction of practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
