Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Appellate Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of post-clerkship litigation experience to join its Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. The position focuses on high-level appellate and Supreme Court matters, especially those involving intellectual property and patent litigation. Candidates with private-sector experience and a record of strong performance in complex appellate work are encouraged to apply. Location:

• Boston, Massachusetts

Duties:

• Lead and manage all major phases of appellate litigation

• Draft and revise complex appellate briefs and motions

• Conduct advanced legal research and case strategy development

• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on high-stakes matters

• Engage in oral advocacy before appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court

• Contribute to mentoring junior associates and supporting firm initiatives

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of litigation experience post-clerkship

• Substantial appellate litigation experience, including intellectual property and patent-related cases

• Prior experience in private legal practice preferred

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Bar admission in Massachusetts or eligibility for prompt admission

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Exceptional academic performance

Certifications:

• Bar admission in Massachusetts (or eligibility)

• One or more appellate or Supreme Court clerkships strongly preferred

Skills:
