Job Overview:
An established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team in Southborough, MA. This role focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to develop tailored legal strategies and guide them through complex processes, ensuring optimal outcomes. This position offers the chance to collaborate with a dynamic team of legal professionals, continue legal education, and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Duties:

  • Collaborate directly with clients to assess their objectives and devise effective legal strategies.
  • Manage caseloads efficiently while ensuring all matters are handled in compliance with applicable laws and ethical standards.
  • Draft legal documents, conduct research, and represent clients during meetings and hearings as assigned by senior attorneys.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to update them on case progress, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Work alongside team members, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to develop and execute firm-wide goals.
  • Participate in firm activities and initiatives, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in a State Bar Association.
  • Prior experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and elder law is preferred.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in case management and legal document preparation.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail.
