Mid-level IP Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level IP Litigation Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in intellectual property litigation. The ideal candidate will have over 5+ years of comprehensive experience in all aspects of IP litigation, including pre-trial through post-trial proceedings. The position is located in Irvine, CA. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of IP litigation from pre-trial to post-trial, including:
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and appeals
  • Managing document discovery, including the use of e-discovery tools
  • Serving and responding to discovery requests
  • Handling discovery disputes and working closely with clients on discovery matters
  • Deposing witnesses and arguing motions in court
  • Assisting in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
  • Representing clients in arbitration and other dispute-resolution processes
• Work closely with clients to develop litigation strategies that align with their business objectives
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure the highest quality of legal representation
• Participate in business development activities to grow the firm’s IP litigation practice
• Maintain strong client relations by providing exceptional service and communication

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IP litigation
• Proven experience in managing all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial
• Strong background in drafting legal documents and managing complex discovery processes
• Ability to argue motions and handle depositions independently
• Experience with arbitration and other alternative dispute-resolution methods

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a similar technical field is strongly preferred
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar is strongly preferred
• USPTO registration is highly desirable

Skills:
