Job Overview:

• Manage regulatory aspects of energy project development, financing, purchase/sale, and operation.
• Specialize in power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and grid/transmission issues in renewable energy.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on regulatory matters related to energy projects.
• Draft and review power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and associated project documents.
• Provide legal counsel and ensure compliance with FERC electricity regulations.
• Assist in due diligence processes for energy project financing and transactions.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of legal experience with a focus on FERC electricity regulations.
• Exposure to project finance or energy transaction documents preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy industry.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas Bar.

Skills:
