Criminal Records Outreach Specialist
The candidate will work directly with class action members, pursuant to a settlement agreement in the Gonzalez v Pritzker class action lawsuit with the Census Bureau. Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant job experience, i.e., paralegal, social work, criminal justice, etc. 5+ years of paralegal or criminal justice experience strongly preferred. Experience with SalesForce or Filemaker database software. Experience working with people who have been involved in the criminal justice system. Presentation experience and/or experience providing training to diverse adult population. Experience and comfort with distance learning. Knowledge/experience with electronic posting of content to web sites. Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with diverse populations in one-on-one settings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write, edit and proofread reports, educational materials, and correspondence with attention to detail. Sound judgment and reasoning skills required. Strong research skills and ability to analyze complex facts and law. Proven organizational and time-management skills. Excellent database and computer skills, using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.), database (CMS) software communication software such as Skype, Facetime, and/or Zoom, the Internet and web development platforms. Fluency in Spanish.
