A law firm located in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer/Patent Professional with expertise in Semiconductor/Circuit technology for its rapidly growing patent prosecution practice. The Electrical Engineer/Patent Professional will primarily focus on drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a particular emphasis on semiconductor process and circuit technology. The ideal candidate will possess industry experience in the semiconductor field, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in Mandarin language is advantageous.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications related to semiconductor process and circuit technology.
• Conduct technical analysis and research to support patent prosecution efforts.
• Collaborate with attorneys and inventors to develop patent strategies and ensure compliance with patent laws and regulations.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on patent-related matters to clients and legal teams.
• Stay abreast of developments in semiconductor technology and patent law to inform patent prosecution strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in the semiconductor field, preferably in patent prosecution.
• Proficiency in semiconductor process and circuit technology.
• Versatility in other technical areas is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Spoken Mandarin language capability is desirable.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor of Science level degree required. Electrical Engineering Degree Required.
