Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Creditor's Rights Attorney in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will manage a significant volume of cases in creditor's rights, including mortgage foreclosure and collections, while demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.

Duties

• Handle a significant volume of creditor's rights cases.
• Resolve issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
• Make court appearances and travel as required.
• Develop and maintain industry relationships.
• Assist in growing the firm's presence.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the SC State Bar.
• Licensed in South Carolina federal district and bankruptcy courts or able to obtain quickly.
• 5+ years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections.
• Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred.
• Appellate experience preferred.
• Commitment to superior client support and judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar License in the state of SC (required).
• Additional state licenses are a plus.
