Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level real estate finance associate in Washington, DC. The candidate will represent commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, and other lenders in financing commercial properties.

Duties

• Conduct title, survey, lease, and commercial property diligence.
• Work on the origination of loans secured by commercial properties.
• Engage in real estate owner/operator, developer, and equity side work, including leasing.
• Exposure to mezzanine loans and commercial mortgage loan securitization and syndication is a plus.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in commercial real estate finance.
• Experience with regulated and non-regulated lenders.

Education

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member of the Bar in the United States.

• Strong analytical and diligence skills.
• Ability to manage a varied practice.
