Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide legal advice and guidance.
  • Attend and represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal staff on complex cases.
  • Stay current with developments in workers' compensation law and related legal areas.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Connecticut State Bar.
  • Experience in practicing law, with a preference for worker compensation experience.
  • Strong understanding of Connecticut workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Connecticut State Bar.

Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation abilities.
