The ideal candidate will possess a degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field, with a strong foundation in electrical engineering courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, utilizing their expertise in computer-aided drafting/modeling programs, and conducting patent searches and analyses.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize computer-aided drafting/modeling programs for effective patent documentation.
• Conduct patent searches, patentability analyses, clearance analyses, and patent landscape analyses.
• Demonstrate a curiosity to learn technologies outside the field of study.
• Apply strong oral and written communication skills in interacting with clients, colleagues, and authorities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments related to patent law.
• Collaborate with legal teams to provide technical expertise and support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
• Completion of several electrical engineering courses.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications (preferred).
• Experience with computer-aided drafting/modeling programs (preferred).
• Knowledge and experience in patent searching, patentability analysis, clearance analysis, and patent landscape analysis (preferred).
• Curiosity and willingness to learn technologies outside the field of study (preferred).
• Work experience in the electrical engineering field (preferred).

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.

Certifications:

• Patent Agent registration (preferred).
