Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Rockville, MD, is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join its high-volume and dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise across a wide range of immigration matters, with a proven ability to represent clients before administrative and federal bodies. This is a full-time position suited for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-moving, client-centered environment.

Duties:

• Draft and file petitions and applications related to family-based and employment-based immigration

• Provide strategic counsel and representation on matters involving:

  • Immigrant and non-immigrant visas

  • Adjustment of status

  • Naturalization and citizenship

  • NACARA, TPS, and asylum claims

  • Removal defense proceedings and appeals before the BIA

  • Waivers, PERM labor certifications, EB-5 investor cases, and H-1B petitions

• Represent clients in hearings and interviews before:

  • Immigration Courts

  • U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

  • Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

  • Customs and Border Protection (CBP)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated immigration law experience

• Demonstrated success managing complex and high-volume caseloads

• Strong oral and written advocacy skills

• Proven capacity to perform under deadlines and in high-pressure settings

• Strong organizational aptitude and ability to prioritize tasks

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Maryland or Virginia

Skills:

• High level of accuracy in drafting legal documents

• Ability to independently edit and proofread complex filings

• Proficiency with legal research tools and immigration-specific software platforms

• Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction and courtroom presentation
