The candidate will be responsible for: Responsible for updating, preparation, and review of 529 legal documents and coordination with outside legal as necessary (Program Disclosure Statements, Forms, legal disclosures and documents). Participate in ongoing calls, communications and follow-up action steps with our State partners. Accountable for legal/compliance requirements with MSRB/FINRA. Review of court orders and other legal documents involving complex changes as desired and/or needed within role. Legal review of marketing materials and communications. Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and regulatory changes. Ensure subordinates are trained and comply with bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to their roles. Monitor subordinates’ adherence to internal controls and take action to address employee performance issues. Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required. Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other job related duties or special projects as assigned. Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Law degree required. Legal, tax, investment, business or marketing experience a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and in working with other financial software. Should have valid Nebraska driver’s license.
