A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Lemon Law to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves representing plaintiffs in disputes against major automotive manufacturers, managing cases from intake through settlement or trial.

Duties

• Review repair histories and warranty documents to assess Lemon Law claims.
• Manage all phases of civil litigation, including drafting complaints and discovery.
• Draft and argue motions, including Motions to Compel and Oppositions to Summary Judgment.
• Lead and defend depositions of plaintiffs and manufacturer representatives.
• Negotiate settlements and calculate damages per Civil Code § 1793.2(d)(2)(C).
• Attend vehicle inspections to verify nonconformities.
• Act as lead or second-chair counsel in jury trials.

Requirements

• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience; Lemon Law experience preferred.
• Proficiency in California Code of Civil Procedure and Song-Beverly Act.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
