Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Attorney for an Of Counsel role. This position focuses on handling a variety of employment-related claims, offering advice to employers, and representing clients in legal proceedings. The role provides an opportunity to work on significant cases, including class actions and high-profile employment disputes, while mentoring junior legal staff and contributing to a dynamic legal team.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving diverse employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Advise and counsel employers on employment and labor law compliance and strategies.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, mediation, and before administrative agencies.
• Handle employment matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour disputes, and non-compete cases.
• Provide training for employers on various labor and employment law topics.
• Lead class action and PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) cases when necessary.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 9+ years of employment litigation experience, including substantial first-chair litigation management.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of state and federal agency procedures.
• Bar Membership: Active and in good standing with the California Bar.
• Leadership: Proven ability to supervise and mentor associates and paralegals effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials.

Certifications:

• California Bar admission.
