Job Overview

A well-established law firm in Quinton, VA is seeking a seasoned attorney with significant experience in pre-litigation personal injury matters. This role involves comprehensive case management from intake to resolution, ensuring clients receive attentive, results-driven legal representation. The attorney will work closely with a dedicated support team to evaluate claims, develop case strategies, and negotiate settlements, which is critical in helping injured clients obtain just compensation.

Duties

• Lead the management of personal injury matters through all pre-litigation stages

• Evaluate new cases upon assignment and determine the severity and viability of claims

• Develop strategic case plans and assess settlement value within the initial 30 days

• Conduct periodic file reviews to monitor progress and compliance with deadlines

• Prepare, revise, and review legal documents including demands, motions, pleadings, and correspondence

• Coordinate communication with clients, insurers, medical professionals, and experts

• Respond to inquiries and case-related needs within designated timeframes

• Oversee negotiation processes and secure favorable outcomes for clients

• Review liens and disbursement items before settlement issuance

• Participate in hearings related to interpleaders, wrongful death, and minor settlements

• Perform additional legal responsibilities as needed in support of the firm’s pre-litigation practice

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of legal experience in personal injury law with a focus on pre-litigation

• Active license to practice law in the state of Virginia

• Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and autonomously

• Skilled in interpreting medical records and terminology related to personal injury claims

• Familiarity with litigation preparation and legal procedure fundamentals

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Active membership in the Virginia State Bar

Skills

• Strong oral and written communication capabilities across all professional levels

• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills

• Proficient in legal research and drafting, as well as document review processes
