Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate with three to six years of experience to join its Real Estate Finance and Development team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a background in representing lenders on mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate loans, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity, as well as experience with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, borrower-side finance, and development transactions.

Duties

• Represent lenders on mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate loans.
• Engage in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures.
• Draft and negotiate main transactional documents, such as joint venture and loan agreements.
• Participate in borrower-side finance and development transactions.
• Work on deal teams with early responsibility and client interaction.

Requirements

• Three to six years of relevant experience.
• Admitted to the New York Bar.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Law firm experience required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.

Skills

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
