Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel Restructuring and Insolvency Associate to join their Seattle, WA office. The ideal candidate will have experience in bankruptcy judicial law clerking or as a commercial bankruptcy lawyer, representing debtors and/or creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings, state law insolvency proceedings, and out-of-court restructurings.

Duties

• Represent clients in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
• Engage in state law insolvency proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
• Collaborate with experienced lawyers across the US platform.
• Participate in avoidable transfer litigation and asset sales.

Requirements

• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• California bar admission preferred but not required.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
