Advise on matters involving registered investment companies and investment advisers
Handle regulatory and compliance work under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933
Play a key role in investment company reorganizations, mergers, and other transactions
Counsel clients on mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and governance of independent trustees/directors
Manage multiple complex legal matters concurrently
Engage in business development and represent the firm in client interactions
Collaborate with shareholders and contribute to team-wide legal strategy
4–7 years of relevant experience with registered funds and securities regulation
Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated investment company transactions
Proficient in advising mutual funds, ETFs, and board governance structures
Strong organizational and project management skills
Capable of leading matters or supporting in high-responsibility roles
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Strong academic credentials required
Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
In good standing or actively seeking admission in the relevant office location
In-depth knowledge of securities laws and regulatory compliance
Excellent analytical, drafting, and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism with clients
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
Comfortable with both independent and team-based work
