Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney with experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and/or joint venture transactions to join its dynamic Healthcare Industry Team. The successful candidate will advise clients across all phases of the corporate lifecycle, with a strong focus on high-impact strategic healthcare transactions. This role offers hands-on client work, mentoring from senior attorneys, and consistent opportunities for professional development within one of the fastest-growing healthcare legal practices in the country.

Location

  • Menlo Park, CA

Duties

  • Advise healthcare clients on complex corporate transactions, including:

    • Mergers & acquisitions

    • Private equity and venture capital investments

    • Joint venture formations and governance

  • Provide support on general corporate matters including:

    • Entity formation and structuring

    • Operational strategy and governance

    • Contract negotiation and review

  • Collaborate directly with clients, senior attorneys, and third-party advisors

  • Participate in all phases of deal execution and project management

  • Receive mentoring and participate in training programs for skill development and career advancement

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of legal experience in M&A, private equity, and/or joint ventures within the healthcare industry

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of matters and manage client relationships

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in the state of office location

Skills

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Strong legal research and drafting abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize workflow effectively

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulatory and transaction trends preferred
