Duties:

• Draft motions, with a focus on discovery-related motions (e.g., motions to compel, motions to strike).
• Argue motions in court, including motions to compel depositions, responses, and attorney’s fees.
• Draft and review pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Handle a variety of motions, including motions to deem requests for admissions (RFAs) admitted.
• Provide legal support in the discovery process and motion practice.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and clients on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in law and motion practice.
• Strong experience in drafting and arguing discovery motions.
• Proven track record of handling motions to compel, motions to strike, and motions for attorney's fees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and deadlines.

Education:

• J.D. (Juris Doctorate) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar is required.

Skills:

• Expertise in law and motion practice.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
